First major project (YouTube video scheduled to premier tonight, stay tuned!) In 2047, dragons had appeared on Earth. By 2055 humanity was nearly wiped out by the overwhelming power and determination of the dragons, as they scoured civilisations from the surface. The survivors are holding out in underground shelters beneath the largest of population centres, awaiting their inevitable end. On that day, when the dragons breached the remaining shelters- they changed their minds and left. Why was mankind spared? The leading answer has something to do with one person- a Welsh farmer named Agbeth. Agbeth saw something, as if a divine revelation, and a promise of prosperity. Her path is set, but for the rest of mankind to follow and be spared is no small challenge. She must find a way to achieve coexistence between the two species, or bear witness to the end of man, living out in the new world, alone. With the help of random stranger Qassim Ibn-Al Atma, Agbeth sets out on a quest that will take her from Cardiff to the London Shelter and the mysterious Grizedale Forest, leading humanity and dragonkind towards a middle ground. Modern Dragons is an urban fantasy of humanity coming to terms with the all-powerful dragons now being the supreme species on earth. Their thoughts and perspectives will force them to adapt, or resist. What will they be able to accomplish, given a second chance at rebuilding everything they had lost. My novel is now in the advanced developmental editing stage, and I'm preparing to launch its crowdfunding campaign. For now, this is the first time I reveal my story to the world, with my cinematic trailer, made entirely in Unreal Engine 5.
