    What the bot does

    1. Sync the community's content

Studios, games, jobs, events, articles, the changelog and new members flow into the channels you choose, and stay up to date as things change on the site.

    2. Set up with one command

Run /setup, choose your content and channels, and the bot builds the category for you. Keep it private while it fills, then reveal it once the import is done.

    3. Onboard your members

Members set a real-name badge, their discipline, their studio and their location with a few commands, each in their own language.

    4. Events, ready to subscribe

/subscribe hands your server a live calendar of community events that updates itself, no copy-paste.

    5. Welcome new joiners

The bot greets people as they arrive and, if they opt in, links them to their profile on the site.

    6. See where your traffic goes

/traffic shows how many members clicked through to gamedev.co.il from your server.

    7. Hebrew and English, done right

Every message speaks to each member in their language, with proper right-to-left layout for Hebrew.

    8. Quiet by design

Imports run silently and paced under Discord's rate limits, so nobody gets a notification storm when a server first fills up.

    Live in three steps

    1

    Add the bot

Click Add to Discord and pick your server. It needs permission to create channels and post, plus Manage Roles if you want the channels hidden until they're ready.

    2

    Run /setup

Choose which content you want and where it should go. Leave the channels private while the bot fills them.

    3

    Reveal it

When the import finishes the bot pings you. Run /reveal and your members get a ready-made corner of the community.

    Questions

    Does it cost anything?
No. The bot is free for any Jewish game dev community, with a small "powered by gamedev.co.il" credit.
    Will it spam my members?
No. Imports run silently and paced under Discord's limits, and you can keep the channels private until everything has landed, then flip them public in one command.
    What permissions does it need?
Enough to create a category, its channels and forum posts, and to post there. Manage Roles is only needed if you want the channels hidden until the import is done. You choose what syncs.
What content can I bring in?
Any mix of studios, games, jobs, events, articles, the site changelog and new member intros. Turn on only what fits your server.
    Can members opt out?
Yes. /forget-me removes a member from the roster, and nothing about a member is shared unless they opt in.
    Which languages does it speak?
Hebrew and English, chosen per member, with right-to-left layout for Hebrew.
How do I pause or remove it?
/unsync pauses posting without deleting anything, /clear-content removes the synced channels, and kicking the bot removes it entirely.
