Since the last update HaMashak grew into a home for Jewish game developers worldwide, and moved to its new domain, gamedev.co.il. Here is the gist of what's new.

🔔 Notifications

You will now know the moment something happens on your account, without chasing it:

• Comments and reactions on your content

• Updates on feature requests you posted

• Replies to team-join and ownership-claim requests

• Invites to join a studio or company

They show up in the bell on the site, and you can also get them as a private message on Discord (your choice). To keep things from getting noisy, comments and reactions are collected into one daily summary, and messages respect quiet hours and Shabbat in your own local time.

📅 Events

• Connect a calendar once (Google Calendar, Meetup or ICS) and events flow in automatically

• Add an event by pasting a link

• RSVP with your profile

• Free ticketing for events

• A calendar you can subscribe to that stays up to date, with filters by city and type

🤖 Discord bot

• Guided onboarding: name, studio, role, discipline, language and location

• Two-way sync between your site profile and Discord

• Subscribe to the events calendar with /subscribe

🏙️ City Guide

New city pages.

• Cities Page: Browse all cities in Israel, with official city emblems and member counts.

• City Page (/cities/:slug) - A dedicated page for each city, featuring a skyline image, statistics, and content organized into tabs (Members, Jobs, Companies, Events, Communities).

• 28+ cities are defined – with official icons and skyline images for each city.

• Navigation - Add a "Cities" link to the main menu and the mobile menu.

City links on the website.

• Clicking on a city name anywhere on the website will redirect you to that city's page.

• Integrated into 9 locations: Member card, Job posting card, Company profile card, Event card, Community card, Public profile, Event title, Job listing window, Event window.

🔧 Location filter fixes.

Missing cities.

• Haifa was missing from the list of cities.

• 26 additional cities, including:

  • Large cities: Pardes Hanna-Karkur, Gederah, Zichron Ya'akov, Shoham, Gan Yavne, Kadima-Tzoran,
    Kiryat Tivon, Daliyat al-Carmel, Binyamina-Giv'at Ada, Even Yehuda, Kfar Kana.

  • Prominent locations: Mitzpe Ramon, Ra'anana, Metulla, Caesarea, Atlit, Hatzor HaGalilit,
    Ushpia, Ramat Yishai, Kinneret, Nahalal, Ein Hod, Kfar Vradim, Kfar Tabor, Yesod HaMa'ala, Jiser
    A-Zarka, Ein Mahel.

Added.

• Full support for both Light Mode and Dark Mode across the entire platform.

• The logo and favicon automatically adjust to match the display mode.

• Approximately 85 component files have been updated to fully support both modes.

Improvements.

• The members page is being updated to use infinite scrolling. Instead of pagination buttons, additional members will automatically load as you scroll down.

• 12 servers are loaded each time to ensure a smooth and uninterrupted browsing experience.

• The search and filters automatically reset to the beginning of the list.

• All the solid colors (grays, whites) have been converted to dynamic design variables.

• Profile pages, feeds, events, games, articles, and communities all look great in both modes.
