I have decided that instead of waiting until it's perfect and publish it on Steam to a crowd of one (my brother), I should do the opposite- work on the game, share my progress, and show the professional world how I deal with game development while I actually do it, and improve my network. My game is called- Miguel & Shuri. It is a game about Miguel & Shuri, my dogs! The premise is a simple and fun game- Miguel and Shuri went with me to a walk, but got lost in the forest, now they must find their way back to me, by braving the forest, solving puzzles and uncovering secrets. Every week, On Thursday, I will do my dev log and talk about how I worked through a game mechanic I wanted to make: some weeks that'll be a working feature, other weeks it'll be a bug I fought for days and lost. Finally, I aim to ship the game to Steam no later than December 31st this year. This is my first game, so it won't be of AAA quality. In the pictures, here are the dogs, in real life and in an Unreal Engine 5 render. I would welcome any comments of support, advice, criticism and even a "good luck" to get the ball rolling. Hopefully, my dogs will be able to visit your computer sometime soon!
