What is Mashak?
Mashak (המשק, “the industry”) is where the Jewish game dev community lives online: every developer has a profile, every game gets a real page with screenshots and trailers, studios list gamedev jobs, and the whole thing syncs two-way with Discord.
It's fully bilingual. Hebrew built it; everything works in English.

The IGDA Jewish Game Developers SIG is an official special interest group of the IGDA, providing resources and community for Jews in the games industry worldwide. Mashak is a separate, independent platform. Many SIG members use it to show their work between events, and you can opt into the SIG's Discord when you join.
One sign-up, two communities
Joining Mashak offers an opt-in to the IGDA Jewish SIG Discord during onboarding. Tick the box and you're added to both servers automatically.

- Do I need to know Hebrew?
- No. The entire platform works in English, and you can switch languages anytime from the navbar.
- Is Mashak only for Israeli developers?
- Not anymore. Mashak started as Israel's gamedev community and is now open to the worldwide Jewish game dev community. Everyone who wants to be part of it is welcome.
- How much does it cost?
- Nothing to join. Profiles, game pages, communities, and events are all free.
- What's the relationship between Mashak and the IGDA?
- Mashak is an independent platform, not operated by IGDA HQ, and it doesn't speak for the IGDA. The IGDA Jewish SIG is an official IGDA special interest group; many of its members are here, and you can opt into the SIG's Discord when you sign up.
